Spring is the smell of hyacinths in the kitchen.
100 Things to do before I go (61-80)
- Grow a perennial garden
- Bathe in the hot springs in Iceland
- See the Gee’s Bend quilts
- Hold a baby panda
- Knit a sweater and a pair of socks for the mister
- Build a house
- Bungee jump
- Get better at writing & giving/sending cards
- Reduce our carbon footprint
- Sit on a jury
- Cook lasagna just like my mum’s
- Get fit
- Read all the books I own
- Sing in the rain
- Stay in a water bungalow in Bora Bora
- Write and publish a piece of fiction
- Learn to surf
- Be an extra in a movie I end up loving
- Give a keynote
- Drop everything, get in the car, and drive somewhere far away with the mister
Full disclosure: this is getting decidedly harder, with each consecutive list. I’ve given myself certain limitations too (more on that soon), so that doesn’t help. Thanks for sharing your links in the last post — keep them coming!

I saw the Gee’s Bend quilts 2 years ago in San Francisco. Totally amazing.

I am enjoying reading your list! I am not sure I could come up with 100 things, but I have always admired these sorts of lists…
Lovely photo!

Your knitting schedule is that dire, is it, that #65 has to make it onto your list of things to do before you go? Whoo whee. I guess the mister won’t be getting those socks and sweaters any time soon…
