20, another

Feet up, admiring a pair of socks I knitted a couple of years ago, suddenly realizing, hey — they’ve held up pretty well. Which led me straight back to this store to pick up more of the same yarn because I haven’t always been this lucky with hand-knit socks holding up well.
Are you sick of my “things” yet? I’m so tempted to annotate these as I go along, but I’ve decided to save the commentary till the end. Here they are, things 41 through 60.
100 Things to do before I go (41-60)
- Learn to speak Japanese
- Live in Paris for a year
- Experience weightlessness
- Ride a Zorb
- Spend a night in a library
- Go on sabbatical
- Drink tea & read the morning paper outside on a regular basis
- Make cheese
- Walk the Great Wall
- Grow a lemon tree
- Take classes in art history & programming
- Oktoberfest in Germany
- Give an acceptance speech
- Bike through the south of France
- NaNoWriMo
- Swim in that bioluminescent bay off Puerto Rico
- Pottery lessons
- Visit all 50 states
- Sew something I can wear (proudly)
- Eat an avocado right off the tree
Are you working on a list of your own? Post a link in the comments, K?

I’m keeping mine over at Remember the Milk.

I started a list! Like you I’m breaking it into smaller, more manageable lists. You can find it at my blog:

We’re NOT sick of your things! It’s so cool to see what other people want to accomplish in their lifetimes! And it’s also neat to see how much we have in common! For example the Zorb looks cool (I didn’t know it was called that). Also pottery, south of France and the Great Wall are also on my list!

Another great list. I do number 53 in my head quite often (usually for a NOBEL prize). I tried number 57 years ago and found I was useless at it. (Oh, the memory of those horrible little pots I created). I managed number 59 at age 24, the day I got married. (No, it wasn’t a white and fluffy confection. Far from it!).

Not sick of your lists at all, really enjoying it. I have done number 49 (not all of it, just a fair chunk), while being 5 months pregnant and all, not to dissuade you, but I think I thought the experience would be more fulfilling than it was. Macchu Pichu, now there’s an experience
Looking forward to the rest of the list

aer you’re pregnant?! Or were!? Holy loose ends, I’m out of the picture. “E-mail” has been on my list (not to do before I disappear, just to do as soon as I possibly can) for 4 months now. Your news is as good an excuse as any to get to it. Just wait til after I’ve given the twins a bath…
Oh, and Mandy, good to read you too…!

P.S. Most importantly of all, aer, CONGRATULATIONS!
