lost and found

Feast day of St. James of the Marches, patron saint of Naples. I would very much like to go to Naples. To-day, preferably.
Remember the catalogue of knits-in-progress and the fervent promises to complete certain items on the list? Completion was put on hold as I whipped together a pair of mitts to greet last week’s feverish cold (do you remember last year’s purple mitts, a most gracious gift from Ms. Melanie? I remember exactly when (April) and where (Jarvis Street) I lost them last year. I console myself with the thought that they were a happy find for some frosty-fingered person). But this week, 11°C above, some sun, a mild drizzle, and no need, whatsoever, for woollen mittens. So, there you have it.
This morning, I took some pictures of my cats, and this weekend, I read the current issue of ReadyMade, cover to cover. I commend them both to you.
What cute kitties. They have really grown. How did Heidi agree to have her picture taken? Great picture albums too – keep them coming !

Could it be true that your cat and I share a name? If so, I am very pleased.
Ordinarily it is dachshunds or German shepherds that have my name. A cat is much better.

flickr is looking more and more attractive to me – how nicely those sets are displayed! of course your handsome cats add a bit too
love the artists mark on the mittens, need to remember to do the same.
saw the movie ‘millions’ the other day and thought of you, similarily saint-minded. have you seen it yet?

Last week, when it was positively frigid up here, I had no wool mittens. Now that it’s in the double digits and raining, I have one pair finished (albeit badly) and a new pair started. Here’s to hoping the weather down there and up here makes woolen mittens unnecessary, at least for a few more days
