slow frenzy

I’ve been in a bit of a frenzied state over the past two-ish days. That talk is coming up in less than 48 hours and it’s all been a bit crazy-making. Did I mention that the talk is to a small group of 8-year-olds? Put me in front of 400 undergrads and I’m fine; the thought of standing before 10 8-year-olds throws me into some sort of cold sweat.
I did take two hours off from my computer yesterday to watch Fahrenheit 9/11, which I enjoyed somewhat but not a whole lot. Most people I know read enough independent/alternative press to already know a lot (if not most) of what Moore “revealed” in the film, so I sort of wish he’d gone a little further. On the other hand, I can’t be too negative about someone who has taken the documentary genre mainstream and brought at least a little insight to people who have a slightly smaller window on the world. So, in all, I liked the film just fine. I’ll let you know how Wednesday goes, send happy thoughts my way.
