I’m a pretty big goof when it comes to things like fireworks. When fireworks light up the sky, I can usually be found nearby with neck craned, big dopey grin on my face, clapping my hands, shouting “more! more!” A couple of nights ago I had the best fireworks experience yet. The mister and I went up on our new deck (3 storeys high) and sat down with a couple of glasses of wine hoping to catch just a glimpse of the big-budget fireworks display that takes place down the road from us. We didn’t end up seeing any of said fireworks but our neighbours put on a little show that lasted about 25 minutes for which we had the very best seats in the house. They were also close enough to hear our applause and whooping (and everyone else’s in the general area) so it turned out to be a very festive evening of high-spirited neighbourhood camaraderie.
Remember that talk I mentioned that I had to give on July 14th? I found the link today.
