three

Today makes three years since the mister and I were married. Good times. I won’t start counting the numerous reasons why this makes me a lucky person, just know that I am.
Speaking of luck, it’s been a good day, in all. I stopped in at the gas station this morning not realizing until after I left that they were charging 2.8 cents less than any other gas station I passed today. Also, while I was there, the service person offered me a lottery ticket with the swipe of my points card. I don’t often play the lottery but you can’t beat free is what I usually say. Then I made an inpromptu stop at the drugstore on my way to work (who shops on their way to work?) because I needed a couple of things, and because it was there, and because stopping in in the morning meant that I wouldn’t have to stop in after work. I picked up and paid for all 5 items in my shopping basket in under 7 minutes, a fraction of the time it would have taken later in the day. All of this has nothing to do with luck, I realise now, it’s just been one of those days where everything falls into place nicely.
But, now this does make me lucky: the mister bought me my very own copy of The Knitting Experience: The Knit Stitch. Not only is this book chockful of easy instructions (and illustrative photos!), it’s also brimming with simple patterns, so if you like boxy knits (as I do), you’ll want to get your hands on a copy. It also features the poncho pattern that a couple of readers mentioned in the comments a few days ago. Thank you readers, I wish you a lifetime of Wednesdays as happy as this.
