it’s come to this

If you’re anywhere in North America, you’ve probably already heard (if not participated in) the recent collective bitching about gas prices. I drive a car too but, by my thinking, ridiculous gas prices are a great excuse to point and laugh at SUV owners on the road. The mister and I did a lot of that today.
So I’m taking pictures of yarn now, go figure. We went to The Wool Bin today, where he stood around looking bored (although he did concede that yarn stores are as yummy as candy stores, with all the sensory overload of colour and texture) while I picked out 4 skeins of Debbie Bliss merino wool in a delightful tangerine (#700) from the bargain bin, as well as enough yarn (Mission Hills 1824 cotton in Lichen #300) for a Bottoms Up bucket hat. Yes, it’s for a knitalong, my first! I’m optimistic.
And while you’ve probably already noticed, here’s the official announcement: I’m syndicating my buzznet knit photoblog over on the right there. Pictures that come to you!
