The loveliest of lazy days are planned lazy days.
The mister and I have been getting very little sleep lately, him for work and me sympathetically fliting around making myself look busy so that he isn’t up alone, silly me. So last night we planned the following: sleep in until we woke up and then go back to sleep to sleep some more and then get out of bed and stroll over to our local bakery for croissants (Polish bakery, best croissants in the city) and then go back to bed after eating two flaky, buttery croissants each and then wake up when we woke up again and then shower and then eat left-over thai take-out from last night and then head out to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs whoop the hell out of the Ottawa Senators. Currently we’re in between eating croissants and going back to bed. Lovely, truly!
Last night I did a final readover of my chapter and converted footnotes to endnotes and signed off on both for the publisher. This might be the last time I see it before it’s all printed and published and official-like.
I’ve had the four-minute piano-instrumental bit of Layla, by Derek and the Dominoes, in my head for the past three days, and I’m not at all upset about it.
