I’m not particularly vigilant about the food that goes into my body, but over the past week I’ve detoxed on unlimited amounts of veggie soup & fresh fruit and my energy level is soaring. Soaring as in bounding out of bed at the sound of my alarm this morning. This is a real novelty for me, while I’ve never considered my normal energy level to be particularly low, I’ve never been a bounder-out-of-bed either.
So to expend these large doses of energy, the mister & I have been taking walks in the park and musing over other ways to sustain our new level of activity, and I think we’ve settled on neighbourhood tennis and dragon boating. A gentle mix of land & water, it can’t hurt. Of course, with all the fresh air we’ve been getting, we could barely sustain interest in Billy Crystal’s tired, old song & dance routine last night, but no matter because I caught up on the details via Gothamist, and enjoyed it all the more.
Also, I wrote a little article for LIScareer revealing some of the mistakes I made during my first foray into academic publishing. I bid you learn from these mistakes.
