Matrix Reloaded (2003)

Let me begin by saying that it took three tries for me to stay awake through The Matrix. The first attempt was at the drive-in, which, admittedly, is setting yourself up for failure from the start. The second attempt was on a cozy winter evening on the couch, also not conducive to awakeness for me. I finally watched the whole thing on TV a few months ago and quite liked it. Which is why it is such a shame that this one is so monumentally bad. Even the mister, who is a fan of all things sci-fi/pseudoscientific/techno-futuristic, hated it. It’s plot-less and campy, with pointless sweaty eroticism, toomuch budget, and can I just say that I am sick of seeing Laurence Fishburne angry. Not even watching it for half the regular price at our local rep theatre could save this film for us.
