good days
I got a road trip to Montréal, some clothes, gift certificates, tupperware, two great meals, some free drinks and a lot of well wishes out of this birthday gig. Thanks.
To-morrow starts the insane countdown at work, where I kick into high gear to get everything done before the students start streaming back. To-morrow also starts the insane countdown to getting my chapter together for the September 30th deadline that looms large. If I have been cryptic about the whole thing it’s only because my brain hasn’t yet synthesized all the ideas that have been floating around in it. I hope to change that soon, so expect some sort of lucid explication on exactly what it is I am going to be writing 3,500-4,000 words on. You’ve been warned.
And thanks to Mike’s dad, our study is now 100% inhabitable (that’s the installed window AC in the picture, it’s not on the desk anymore), which means my last excuse to fritter away my time has hereby been eliminated.
