I’ve always been drawn to stories about the sea, whether they deal with extreme weather or extreme sea creatures, I like that whole man vs. nature paradigm. The She is a great story about the sea, with the added advantage of well-drawn characters and great writing. Due October 2003 from Harcourt, definitely worth recommending to your local public library and/or buying for your young adult.
